February Service Project: GKC

We are working toward a large school-wide service project during the month of February. The founders of Grace Klein Community are members of our school, and many of our families are connected to this wonderful non-profit that serves many in our state and around the world through its various ministries. It is truly amazing the impact they've had through serving and how God has used their willingness to provide assistance and encouragement to so many.

Happy Thanksgiving week! I am thankful for you all, and that we have the freedom to celebrate our families and focus on gratitude in this season.

We have enjoyed Tannehill, park day, shoebox packing and other fun activities this month. As school winds down for this semester, here are some reminders for December events.

It was great to see so many of you at the meeting last Thursday. If you were unable to make it, I will share a few things we covered. You'll be able to view the handbook and other info I gave out soon as we upload them to the website as PDF files. If you come to a field trip or park day soon, then I can bring extra copies I have for you to pick up then.
 

Alabama Symphony and Ballet Performances - place orders now!

Alabama Symphony and Ballet events are now added to our calendar. You can search the Events list, or look on the monthly calendars under Events to see the options for each. Click the title of the event to read all details about ordering and reserving your spot. Payment must accompany the RSVP to hold your spot and please pay close attention to the date those are due.

Birmingham Children's Theatre Performances - order tickets now!

The performances for Birmingham Children's Theatre are now all listed on our website. Go to Events, and you can view the list of activities added so far, or look at the calendar to choose events you wish to read more about. When you go to an individual event listing, click the title to read the full description, and instructions on signing up and paying for those that have a fee. I am still adding more field trips, but BCT has an early RSVP deadline, so get your order in by August 5th!

Teacher and Student ID Cards

We can now issue teacher and student photo ID cards for the 2016-2017 school year. Once you have completed your enrollment or re-enrollment process, you will be eligible to receive a teacher ID card and student ID cards for each enrolled student.
