We are excited to again offer a trip to this local mushroom farm which is the only source of log-grown shiitakes in our state. As we visit Grandview Farm, we will go though the process of innoculation of the logs with mushroom spawn, we will visit the log yard which consists of 5,000 to 6,000 logs. Multiple types of fungi will be shown and discussed and we will have an open discussion of the many different processes of mushroom cultivation. RSVP and pay by 9/10.
Note - We will be walking on uneven ground into a wooded area for this trip and children must be closely supervised.
Fee: $5 ages 3 and up.
