Dear SCCS parents,
 
Obviously, it is a busy season, as I am days late sending this newsletter out to you all. Thankfully, this is a time filled with so much joy and fun but it can be hectic as well. I pray that we can all balance the needed responsibilities with some special activities also. I purposely try to not add much into our December school calendar, so we can focus on celebrating Christmas and having special family time. There are a few events though, that you may want to know about, so read below for that information.
 
Also, a reminder that our website is always a great place to check for answers to your questions. Newsletters, sign ups, FAQs and more are online for you to view anytime. We have also now added a calendar feature, so as I continue to update it throughout the year, you will be able to look ahead for field trips and park days that are approaching to aid in your planning.
 
Thank you for being part of our school and joining us as we learn and grow together.  I would love to leave you with the attached graphic of the passage that I often recall at this hectic time of year. These attributes of our Savior are such a beautiful picture of the One we worship at Christmas. Think about it:
The government is resting on His shoulders.
He is wise, a comfort, and the best counselor. 
His is mighty and powerful, able to carry our burdens and to handle our stresses.
He is a true Father, the epitome of faithful love and compassion.
He is the Son of the King and the bringer of peace.

May His peace be with you in this season. We worship the greatest Giver of gifts, who sacrificed Himself on our behalf. That incredible love is a reason to truly rejoice! Merry Christmas!
