Mountain View Orchard in Thorsby – We will be picking Golden Delicious apples. They are $12 for a large fruit basket.

Service Project – make treats and deliver to your local fire and police station as a thank you for their dedication on this very important date

We will visit Steele Orchard in Cullman at 10 am. We will have a tour of the apple orchard, an orchard fun activity, apple tasting, seed planting, and face painting. Tour takes an hour and a half. Note: Cullman is approximately an hour from Birmingham.  $10 per student, $2 per parent.   RSVP

Jones Valley Teaching Farm – Two tours available from  9:00-11:30 or 12:00-2:30, limit 20 in each.  Seed to Plate” (grades K-8) is a hands-on science and nutrition education program that teaches children where food comes from. And why what they eat matters. Kids don’t just watch. They dig, think and do. Then they pick, prepare and eat. This outdoor classroom is where traditional academic standards and true active learning meet. $7 per student or adult.  RSVP

Oakville Indian Mounds and Museum Includes a tour, craft, and food tasting. This field trip is $5.00 per student.  Please note the location of this field trip - Danville is approximately a 1 ½ hour drive from Birmingham.

Anniston Museum of Natural History/Berman Museum of World History: These museums are very near one another.  A suggested schedule is for us to meet at the Anniston Museum at 10:00 am, allow 1-2 hours for this museum, have lunch, and meet back at the Berman, which takes about an hour. We will have a scheduled time to arrive at both museums as a group.  To receive the group rate, we will collect money in advance and make one payment.  $7.00 per person for combo ticket. Age 3 and under are free. $4.00 for only Anniston museum, $3.00 for only Berman museum

Aldridge Gardens - Kindergarten through 2nd grade class will go to the program Meet the Trees. 3rd grade and up will attend Plant Propagation. Each group is limited to 25 participants. We will also picnic there at the gardens. RSVP now!

High School Q/A Night, part 1 at TCASC - Come prepared to take notes and ask questions of experienced moms who have helped their students and others through the high school years.

PARK DAY at Heroes Park in Alabaster - Bring a lunch and hang out together! Also, our service project is to collect for Oak Mountain Missions food pantry. Bring non-perishables to the park for delivery to this non-profit to help them through the summer slump.

Curriculum Show and Tell at Calera Library - come view other curricula used by members of our school to hear what works for them. No one is selling anything, so there is no pressure but this event helped many last year to make informed decisions as they planned the next year's courses.
