Dear SCCS parents,

See, I am doing a new thing!   Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19

The 43rd chapter in Isaiah has been a special one to me over the years with the encouragement it gives, and lately, I've been reading and meditating on it more and more. I have heard from more than a few of you that are weary at this point in the year, and are facing hardships of various kinds: learning struggles for children, financial difficulties, relationship issues, and general discouragement about the state of the world. It is not hard to view circumstances negatively when we focus on the very real problems and difficulties in our lives. I am so thankful for hope that God is aware of these struggles, and He promises His faithfulness to guide us when we depend on Him. Sometimes He does give us a solution to these problems or provide a pleasing resolution that we agree with, and at other times, we must continue to trust until He guides us through them without necessarily the great answer we had hoped to receive in the timing we wanted. I am praying for you all, and that you see Him doing new, good things for your family, even if the journey there sometimes is long and difficult. Please continue to share prayer needs with me. I am thankful I can partner with you!

Service Project Update: We have had a good response from our school on this effort to bless families in need. If you have any toiletry items or non-perishable foods you'd still like to contribute to the GKC non-perishable drive, I am not delivering those to the Grace Klein office until early next week. Here are the details again.
